Health screening

A simple check today can prevent bigger problems tomorrow. Know your numbers and catch concerns early.

Many serious conditions (high blood pressure, diabetes, raised cholesterol) develop silently, with no symptoms until later. A health screening gives you a clear picture of where you stand, and the chance to act early while small changes make the biggest difference. Our doctors interpret your results with you and agree a simple plan, whether that's reassurance, lifestyle steps, or follow-up.

Personalised, not one-size-fits-all. Good screening follows national guidelines and is shaped around you: your age, family history and risk factors. The packages below are a helpful starting point, but your doctor will tailor what's checked so you focus on what matters and aren't paying for tests you don't need.

Eligible for subsidised national screening?

Many Singaporeans can be screened for very little under the national Healthier SG / Screen for Life programme, and we'll help you check what you're due for and arrange it:

Our packages below are for a broader or earlier check, or if you're not eligible for subsidies. Your doctor will guide you either way.

How it works

What to expect at your screening

1

Pre-screening visit · $50

A short consult, a relevant examination, and your blood (and any other samples) taken. We'll advise if you need to fast.

2

Your tests

The lab tests in your chosen package are processed. The package price shown covers these tests.

3

Post-screening review · $65–$120

Your doctor goes through your results with you and agrees a clear plan: reassurance, lifestyle steps, or follow-up.

Why a pre-screening visit?

It's where your doctor tailors the screening to you: choosing the right tests for your age, history and risk (so you're not paying for tests you don't need), confirming any fasting, taking your bloods properly, and checking which subsidies you're eligible for. You'll also agree what happens after your results. It's a focused consultation, charged at $50 (less than a standard visit), and it's what keeps your screening tailored to you, rather than a one-size-fits-all panel.

Good to know

Screening questions, answered

How does screening work, and what will it cost?

Screening is done in three steps: a pre-screening visit ($50), a short consult, examination and your bloods taken; your tests (the package price shown covers these); and a post-screening review ($65–$120) where your doctor explains your results and agrees a plan. We'll always explain the full cost upfront and apply any subsidies you're eligible for.

Do I need to fast beforehand?

For tests such as blood glucose and cholesterol, we usually ask you to fast for about 8–10 hours beforehand (plain water is fine). We'll confirm exactly what's needed when you book.

How long does it take?

The screening visit is usually quick, around 20–30 minutes for the consult and tests.

When will I get my results?

Most results are ready within a few days. Your doctor will go through them with you and agree any next steps.

Can I use Medisave or subsidies?

If you're eligible, nationally recommended screening can cost $0 for Healthier SG enrollees, or $5 or less for other Singapore Citizens at CHAS GP clinics. Many other tests are also Medisave-claimable. We'll help you check what applies. See our full FAQ.
